Destination Bicester – a historic day for Bicester

Historic events are happening all around us every day and they feel so close via the Internet and the vast quantity of television channels. So when a major local event occurs it may seem easier to watch it on the news or via a Facebook page rather than get up and take part. Not me I took the day off work and headed to the opening of Bicester’s new Pioneer Square town development armed with my camera to film the proceedings. A low key celebration that was made extra special by the eponymous Regiment who lined the street and officially opened the new development. The participants bathed in the morning sun and chatted to each other before deciding it was time to get on and do some shopping.

Filmed hand held with my trusty GH2.
