Bicester’s town development finally got underway in January 2012 after years in the planning phase. It felt like it started last year but the only change was to move the river from one side of the road to the other – the diggers then left town and it felt like it was stalled all over again. The closure of Crown Walk car park and the realisation that it was really started inspired me to get out my camera and film the last days of Bure Place. In hindsight I should have filmed a lot more footage before the digging started but at least I have some. I am now taking regular footage of the development progress usually with my Sony HC1 with the objective to make a documentary of the development from initial days through to completion.
